Where Love Heals

Sometimes life feels like one big plan. From the moment we’re born, our parents plan for our futures. As we grow older and form our own dreams, we begin planning for those dreams to become reality.

We plan everything—from prom, to studying for a tough math test, to choosing a college. For many of us, the first twenty-plus years are spent preparing for what comes next. We are learning, growing, and changing along the way.

Some people plan to start working immediately after high school, while others spend their young adult years making memories, exploring the world, and continuing their education. We plan for love, marriage, family, careers, the house we’ll buy, vacations we’ll take, pets we’ll cherish—we save, we hope, we plan.

But sometimes, the road we’re on is thrilling and exciting, and we don’t notice the obstacles ahead—a broken bridge, an impossible bump in the road. No matter how hard we try to get around it, some paths are simply blocked. We have to turn, change direction, and let go of the plan we once held so tightly.

It feels unfair. Life isn’t supposed to throw these interruptions in our way. We planned to go one direction—but now we must go another.

In the middle of chaos, it’s hard to see that the roadblock was there for a reason. It’s often a protective detour, guiding us toward something greater than we could have imagined. The journey is longer, harder, and more painful than expected. There are scars, bruises, and moments of exhaustion. But if we keep moving, if we keep fighting, we make it through.

We arrive stronger, wiser, and more resilient. The detours, the bumps, the unexpected turns—they become part of our story. They are reminders of our courage and determination. Life’s beauty isn’t in the perfection of our plans but in the strength we gain when plans change.

Now, we plan again—but with a new understanding. When life forces a turn, we smile, adjust, and keep moving forward. Our destination is still ahead, and now we are ready for anything that comes our way.
